How garage door leads work

How does an inquiry reach you?

In seven steps, and nothing moves without the homeowner's consent.

1. Research. A homeowner lands on a guide, a calculator or a research study, usually with a problem, not a company, in mind.
2. Intent. They work out roughly what they are dealing with and decide they want to talk to someone.
3. Inquiry. They fill in the project form: zip code, service, urgency, property type, description and contact details.
4. Consent. They agree that HyreGarage may pass their details to garage door companies. Without that, nothing is sent anywhere.
5. Matching. We check the inquiry against participating companies that cover that area and that service.
6. Introduction. The inquiry goes to the eligible participating companies.
7. Your conversation. You contact the homeowner, quote the work and contract directly with them.

When is an inquiry eligible?

When the homeowner has consented, the zip code is inside a service area you chose, and the service they asked for is one you offer. Our lead quality standard lists every test an inquiry must pass.

Homeowners who say they are only researching are handled differently from ones who need help now. Sending a "just researching" inquiry to a crew expecting a job this week serves nobody.

Who picks the service area?

You do. You choose the zip codes, cities or counties you want work in, and we do not widen that radius to add volume. A garage door company driving ninety minutes to a job it will turn down is a cost to you and a broken promise to the homeowner.

Which garage door jobs are matched?

Inquiries are matched on the service the homeowner chose: garage door repair, springs or cables, openers, replacement, new installation, garage conversion or garage organization. If you do not do spring work, wind-rated doors or commercial doors, tell us and you will not receive them.

What does an inquiry contain?

• Where and what. Zip code, the service needed and the property type.
• How urgent. The urgency the homeowner chose, from emergency to just researching.
• In their words. The homeowner's own description of the job, where they gave one.
• How to reach them. Name and email, and a phone number where the homeowner chose to give one.

Phone numbers are optional on our form and will stay optional. Agreeing to calls cannot lawfully be a condition of using a service, and a number given under pressure is a number that does not answer.

What are your obligations with homeowner data?

Homeowner details reach you only so you can respond to that inquiry. You may not resell them, add them to other marketing lists, or pass them on. If a homeowner asks you to stop contacting them, stop. Our privacy policy describes what we collect and why.

What is not decided yet?

We will not publish business terms we have not committed to. Open today:

• Exclusivity. Whether inquiries are exclusive or shared.
• Delivery speed. Any commitment on how fast inquiries arrive.
• Credits and disputes. What earns a credit for an invalid inquiry, and how disputes are raised.
• Duplicates. How duplicate inquiries are handled.
• Refunds. The refund policy.
• Commitment. Any minimum commitment, and how to cancel.
