Terms of use

What this site is

HyreGarage publishes educational information about garage doors and garage projects for homeowners in the United States. HyreGarage is not a contractor and does not perform, supervise, inspect, warrant or finance garage door work.

Not professional advice

Nothing on this site is financial, legal, insurance or engineering advice, and it is not a substitute for a licensed professional assessing your specific property. Conditions, codes, licensing rules and prices vary by state, county and property. Verify anything you intend to rely on with the primary source and with a qualified professional.

Accuracy and dates

We source factual claims to government agencies, code bodies, trade standards and published research, and we date material that is time-sensitive. Rules and prices still change. Where a page carries a “checked” date, that is the date the claim was last verified, not a promise it is still current when you read it.

Third-party links

We link to external sources so you can check our work. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

Future professional introductions

HyreGarage intends to introduce homeowners to garage door professionals and to be paid for doing so. Any such relationship will be disclosed where it applies. An introduction is not an endorsement, a recommendation or a warranty of any company’s work, and any contract you sign is between you and that company.

Liability

The site is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, HyreGarage is not liable for losses arising from decisions made on the basis of information published here.
